When I remember to bring my own bag to the shop
A Thomas Shelby post.
You have parallel parked on the first try. You step out of the car slowly. You adjust a hat you aren't wearing. The barista spells your name right. You nod, once. You don't smile. You leave a tip like a man with a plan. You have read two chapters of a book about the Stoics. You now stare out of bus windows differently. You finished your to-do list by noon. You put on a coat with a collar. You walk down the high street in slow motion. **Why it caught on:** Peaky Blinders (2013-2022) gave Cillian Murphy's Tommy Shelby a flat cap, a three-piece suit and the thousand-yard stare of a man always three moves ahead. The sub, already fond of literally-me heroes, adopted his walk and stare for every small moment of quiet, self-serious competence.
